Well, it is almost the end of another week. Tonight, I am going grocery shopping and my goal, is to get a months worth of groceries for only $100. I can do most of this because I still have a roast, four pounds of ground beef, and a box of fish sticks still in the freezer along with two bags of mixed vegetables, a bag of sweet corn, and a bag of teriyaki broccoli. I am also pretty well stocked on canned goods and cereal as well.
I think that the only thing that I plan on getting is a bag of flour, some pizza sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, milk, cheddar cheese, American cheese, bread, oatmeal, brown sugar, mini peanut butter chips, mini chocolate chips, taco shells, and taco seasoning.
With the oatmeal, brown sugar, mini peanut butter chips, and mini chocolate chips, I plan on making some homemade granola bars. These will be for quick breakfasts for when we have things that we have to do. I am also planning on making up some batches of pizza complete with toppings and wrapping them up in foil. Then, I am going to freeze them so that whenever I want to make a pizza, all I have to do is take it out of the freezer and bake it. I am thinking that instead of getting the bags of pepperoni, I can just get a couple of the sticks and slice them myself. I could also get the really big slices of pepperoni and only have to use like four of the slices versus like twenty small ones. Plus, it would also be a lot cheaper.
Hopefully, I can get some recipes up after I really figure out what our menu will be for the rest of September and most of October.
