But we belong to the day. So let us control ourselves. Let us put on our chest the armor of faith and love. Let us put on the hope of salvation like a helmet. -1 Thessalonians 5:8
It is still new in the year and I still have a lot of things to accomplish this year. I know that with God and a good support system, I can accomplish the things that I wish to accomplish. The only thing that will get in my way of accomplishing what I set out is myself.
In this day and age, we have so many things to be grateful for. But oftentimes, we spend most of the year being ungrateful until the holidays roll around. How many times do we forget to be grateful for all that we have?
How many times do we take things for granted? I know that I am guilty of doing that as well. I have been spending too much time on my iPad and waiting until the last minute to get things done. This is something that I am going to try my hardest to wok on during the new year. I am going to set alarms and try to stick to them.
One alarm will be for me to get up in the mornings, have my coffee, and start my day. I am hoping that I can at least get an hour or two before my kids get up to do some of my schoolwork and work on my blog and social media posts.
Then, it will be breakfast for me and the kids and after breakfast, their schoolwork. My plan is for them to spend two hours on schoolwork and then take a break for lunch. After lunch, they can play for a while and I hope to get more schoolwork and blog/social media stuff done that didn’t get finished before the kids got up.
Hopefully, this will all work out. If it doesn’t work out the way that I plan, it will be okay. It won’t be the end of the world. It just means that I will have to try harder next time.Tags: accomplish, alarms, armor, God, grateful, kids, school, schoolwork
